Nancy Walker 

Nancy has over 20 years experience in accounting, having worked for both corporations and nonprofits, most notably the American Cancer Society and the Urban League where she was the Director of Fiscal Operations. Most recently, she served as the Operations & Marketing Director at the Illini Media Company for 10 years where she led a team of marketing students at the University of Illinois and managed the day to day operations.   

She served on the Board of Directors for the Beverly Hills Basketball League in their early years, and she remains active in her community by serving as the Treasurer of the Women’s Business Council and doing volunteer work with the Downtown Independent Volunteer Association. She graduated from Millikin University summa cum laude with a Bachelor in Science degree in Elementary Education.  

Nancy’s friendship with the founder of the Ryan Gordy Foundation, Anita Thompson, dates back 20 years ago when they were both young moms raising their sons. Having known Ryan as a child, she is committed to ensuring that Ryan’s memory lives on by fulfilling the mission of the Ryan Gordy Foundation.
