Let us introduce you to Victoria Summer. Five years after arriving in Los Angeles with nothing but a suitcase and a dream, elegant British beauty Victoria Summer has found success as an actress, singer, model – and role model. She has appeared in a string of films including Oscar
nominee Saving Mr Banks, blockbuster Transformers: Age of Extinction and wartime spy thriller Game of Aces. Next up is Brooklyn All American opposite Chris Noth and Christopher McDonald. Whenever she’s not in front of the camera or performing music, Victoria can usually
be found doing charity work including finding forever homes for rescue animals – including her own pets, cats Missy and Elton and her dog Bentley – and representing Teen Cancer America with her afternoon tea Event ‘Tea with Victoria Summer.

How did you get involved with The Ryan Gordy Foundation?
Through my Tea event ‘Tea with Victoria Summer’ which was sponsored by BMW which is how I met RGF Founder Anita.

What does the word Wellness mean to you?
It means to me GLOWING with life and vitality - high energy for whatever life throws your way.

How do you stay focused on your health goals?
I must admit to becoming easier on myself over the years but mainly I listen to my body and what it needs.

What's your guilty pleasure when it comes to food?
Coffee and dark chocolate

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
Early walk on the beach with my dog and then a nice breakfast spot. Then I just love to putter around the house, read and watch a great movie!

Who are some of your favorite influencers in the health, wellness, and/or fitness industry?
I am quite a fan of Jay Shetty right now. I’ve listened to a number of his podcasts and find him very positive and real to people for what’s needed right now for many people.

What advice would you give to someone struggling to form healthy habits?
It’s easy to roller-coaster. Find a plan you can adapt to your lifestyle .

The Foundation's signature event, The Wellness Celebration , has been created as a celebration of Ryan Gordy's life, and to thank everyone honored and privileged to know Ryan for their support. This is an opportunity for his legacy to live on through his passions for health, spirituality, mindfulness and entertainment.The invitation only event aims to bring attention to wellness and empower attendees to make healthy choices that help them achieve their best life.

AN EXCEPTIONAL TURN OUT FOR A“DAY OF WELLNESS” HOSTED BY THE RYAN GORDY FOUNDATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TEEN CANCER AMERICA

January 15th, 2018 – Last Saturday, the Ryan Gordy Foundation in partnership with Teen Cancer America, hosted a “Day of Wellness”, enabling teen cancer survivors and patients to work with master chefs and yoga experts for a day of nutrition and mindfulness.

The teens and young adults explored the world of healthy cuisine through clean eating and simple recipes at The Gourmandise School in Santa Monica with celebrated chefs, essential oil educators and nutritionists. Lessons on yoga, meditation and holistic tips on wellness began the day and educated the teens to the importance of nutrition and mindfulness while pursuing a healthy lifestyle.

Following a field trip to the local farmer’s market where guests were taught the importance of fruits and vegetables, easy to make farm-to-table meals were prepared. Steven Benjamin, Executive Chef of Jean-George at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills prepared his famous Waldorf Astoria vegan avocado pizza and endive salad which were easy dishes for teens to make on their own. Additional chefs included Chef Emanuele, who created a delicious lemon chicken with a spinach salad and tiramisu dessert and Chef Kristopher presented a chicken and vegetarian stir-fry with brown rice. Nutritionist, Sarah Holgen offered mouthwatering chocolate and spinach vegan smoothies.

Anne Menik of doTerra introduced the group to the benefits of essential oils and sent everyone home with a doTerra “Warrior” blend. Additional gifting was provided by event partners: Erewhon, internationally renowned speaker and bestselling author of the book Inner Engineering, Sadhguru, Just Water, Tone It Up and BMW.

Many guests commented how grateful they were to have this special day created just for them – and there were many long goodbyes.

The Day of Wellness honors and celebrates the life of Ryan Kennedy Gordy, late grandson to Motown founder Berry Gordy. Who, after being diagnosed with Leukemia, courageously opted out of chemotherapy to live a vibrant life. The Ryan Gordy Foundation strives to continue his legacy and inspire others to live the best version of their lives through wellness, a healthy lifestyle, education, and resources for prevention while targeting cancer awareness.

A MESSAGE FROM GRANDPA...

I am honored and blessed to have shared 28 precious years with my dear grandson, Ryan Gordy.... What an amazing journey! He inspired me with thoughts beyond his years: his love for others, life, and his commitment to a healthy life style.

He and I, together, have experienced what seems to be a lifetime of memories. We were truly a team, grandpa and grandson exploring together. Ryan loved to win - a bond we had in common. We played games of strategy: basketball, chess, and life. His character, integrity and honesty led him to talk the talk and WALK THE WALK. Always a fighter, even when he faced his biggest challenge in life, he never gave up. He never gave up!

Today we will celebrate that strength, that courage, that love, that infectious laughter he shared with us all.

I am so pleased that his mom, Anita, will carry on his legacy of health, wellness and love through the RYAN GORDY FOUNDATION.

Honoring Ryan Gordy’s Life

Los Angeles, CA (October 30, 2017) – Anita Thompson honored her son Ryan Kennedy Gordy on Saturday, October 28, 2017 with the launch of the Ryan Gordy Foundation and its inaugural Wellness Celebration sponsored by BMW of Beverly Hills. Ryan, the son of Anita and Kennedy “Rockwell” Gordy and the grandson of Motown founder, Berry Gordy passed away last year from leukemia.

The Wellness Celebration was created as a celebration of Ryan Gordy's life, and to thank everyone honored and privileged to know Ryan for their support. It was an opportunity for his legacy to live on through his passions for health, spirituality, mindfulness and entertainment. The invitation only event aimed to bring attention to wellness and empowered attendees to make healthy choices that will help them achieve their best life. The invitation-only event was hosted by Ryan’s brother Skylar “Sky Blu” Gordy, one half of the musical duo LMFAO. It was filled with lots of love and laughter from people who knew and loved Ryan. For those who did not have the pleasure of knowing him, they left forever connected to him. The special guest of the evening was Ryan’s guru, world-renowned yogi, mystic & visionary, Sadhguru (sad-guru), who spent a very intimate hour with guests talking about wellbeing, life and death. Notable guest included Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Abraham McDonald and Stevie Wonder, who both took the stage for a musical tribute to Ryan. A special message was sent by Common, introducing his song “Stand Up For Something,” performed by Victoria Summer. Guests feasted on a vegan meal prepared by celebrity chef Kai Chase.

Prior to the event, guests were asked to join a 30-Day Hiking Challenge to empower their lifestyle and raise funds for the Ryan Gordy Foundation. Led by former Professional Basketball Player and Coach, Daniel Ferguson, guests hiked Runyun Canyon in Los Angeles to raise funds for the Foundation as well as be challenged and motivated by this personal trainer and Kinesiology specialist to reach their best potential.

LOS ANGELES - On Tuesday October 16th, The Ryan Gordy Foundation in partnership with Teen Cancer America will host their Inaugural Ryan Gordy Foundation Wellness Golf Classic at the Moorpark Country Club in Southern California. Presented by BMW, The Wellness Golf Classic will spotlight the vivacious life of music legend Berry Gordy's late grandson, Ryan Gordy, who, after being diagnosed with Leukemia, courageously opted out of chemotherapy to live a vibrant life. The event will serve as a follow up to the Foundations signature event, which included a tribute performance by the great Stevie Wonder.

Hosting some of the biggest and brightest names in music and entertainment, the foundations supporters and participants will tee off, dine healthily, celebrate, and raise money together for young adults battling cancer. The Classic will also include an extraordinary hole-in-one giveaway including a brand new BMW, Trip to Hawaii, Trip to Pebble Beach, and cash prizes up to $10,000.

The invite only Golf Classic will also play host to VIP's, and close friends of the Gordy family. The Ryan Gordy Foundation and it’s Board of Directors is proud to have presented the inaugural 2017 Wellness Celebration honoring Ryan Gordy. Presented by BMW of Beverly Hills , the event took place on October 28, 2017 at a private residence in Bel-Air, California.

The event brought together celebrities, leaders and innovators in health, wellness and mindfulness, to celebrate Ryan and the launch of the Ryan Gordy Foundation.

The event included a reception and speaking engagement with Ryan's guru, the world-renowned yogi, Sadhguru , gourmet dinner, music spun by DJ Journey , and special musical performances by Victoria Summer and the legendary Stevie Wonder .
